A Day in my life during a Pandemic. As you can see this is my messy office, I share with my Husband and our two dogs, Mieke and Rocky. It's wall to wall memories. I look at them with fond memories and some sadness of what once was. Over the door to the office is a sign that says "War Department". This was the name of a horse that belonged to a friend of ours we had on the ranch in Guffey, Colorado. He was a wonderful horse. His nick name was Goat Cheese, don't ask, LOL! The sign suits us because it sounds like a War Department of laughter where something I've written didn't come out right and we start laughing and can't stop till our eye's are watering so bad we cant' see. You realize it's always at my expense, LOL! I start my day by doing barn chores, feeding horses, dogs and a cat. Then us, we're always last. Then I do my Tai Chi and the Plank. I try to do Tai Chi most days because I love the slow movements of this discipline. After I do my Tai Chi, then we might walk the dogs. We live on a dirt road with lots of places to walk. We can wave to our neighbors and still have social distancing. Last week was my birthday, so we took the Harley out for a ride. It was a bright, sunny warm day, and it was just wonderful. Now, that's social distancing at it's best. Then we go to the office where the dogs sleep while I write and my husband works on his music, that he uses at the horse shows. Writing is my outlet, so really my day isn't much different than before. When you have horses you spend a lot of time at home. I love to write and you do that by yourself. What has really changed with all this is my stress level, which is at a 10 now. Today is so scary I don't know what to think. Some mornings right when I first wake-up I think it was a night mare because certainly the whole world couldn't have a deadly disease in every city across the world. Then I realize it's real, I get a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. Well, that's my day in a nut shell. Tell me about your day and post it on my Facebook Page.T.J.Palm author!
