This week my Interview is with Norman's speech writes from my book Norman for Mayor. I'll be talking with Sylvester and Jack, Jack the Manic who are donkey's and self proclaimed speech writers of the highest caliber! I started by asking them what it was like writing speeches for Norman when the other opponents Campaign was so good at Mud Slinging. There answer surprised me. They admitted that just once they tried to get Norman to say something really awful about the other side and even though it was true, he just wouldn't have anything to do with it. "He told us to stop in our tracks and don't even think about it ever again," said Sylvester. "Sylvester, what was Norman's reasoning behind not wanting to hurt the other side so badly that they would withdraw from the race?" Sylvester replied, "Norman wanted to win fair and square and keep to his message of helping the whole town." "That's just Norman he's one of the good guys," added Jack, Jack the manic. "How did you get the name of Jack, Jack the manic?" I asked. "I'm really hyper I have ADHD. I got teased a lot in the barn yard, so I would just act crazy. It gave them something more to talk about. I didn't know what else to do. It hurt my feelings to be an outcast, but when I met Sylvester and Norman and all his other friends they all taught me how to slow my roll and when I saw a veterinarian and he helped me a lot." Sylvester and Jack, Jack the Manic both said, "we both love our jobs and that we are just Donkey's." Somehow I don't think they are just Donkey's.
Thanks you to Sylvester and Jack, Jack the manic for a great Interview.
