I write Children's books and story's about animals. As far as my blogs go I write about what ever peaks my interest it can be just about anything!
Several Class Action Lawsuits have been filed against Hill's Pet Nutrition better known as Science diet, for the vitamin D debacle! . There are people coming out of the wood work, with story after story about the death of there beloved family member that just happens to be there pet. Nyran Rose Raschea, a Chicago based attorney with, Cafferty Clobes Meriwether & Sprengel, which filed the class action suit sent a email to CBS and I quote,"We believe that hundreds, if not thousands, of pets have died or become seriously Ill, as a result of eating hill's foods with toxic levels of vitamin D." I was going to write this all about the lawsuits, but I found out somethings in doing my research that I had suspected, Vets had to get kick backs for selling this sub-par product, I had no idea it was to this level. I fed Hill's, to my Lab and in two weeks he had lost all his muscle even on top of his head, and they called it a autoimmune disease. Years later he fell over with a heart attack, the heart is also a muscle! This is just my opinion, but if you asked 10 people if they like Hills Science Diet, 9 out of 10 well say no. Hills said they found the problem and it was a Specific mix, I bet its code for Premix from China, been down that road before with the melamine. There is so much I want to say that some of the attorneys have said, but I have to tell you what I found out. The real reason that you are prescribed Hill's science diet so often or other brands that are prescription foods is, because very large company's have bought so many Vet hospitals and clinics. Mars Inc. yes Mars candy bars, bought 800 animal Hospitals and clinics for 91 billion, VCA Inc. based out of Los Angles, Calif. They can't make 35 billion on candy bars alone per year. They also have a pet-care line that they own and it includes, Banfield Pet Hospital, Blue Pearl, Pet Partners, Iams, Nutro, Pedigree, Royal Canin to many to mention. The other big fish is Global Consumer Products Company Colgate-Palmolive owner of Hill's Science Diet, Prescription Diet, Ideal Balance and Healthy Advantage. Hills spent 100,000+ as a Platinum sponsor at veterinary conventions, Donates big money to veterinary member associations, donates Millions a year to veteran Schools world wide. Some of the classes on nutrition are taught by Hills employees. Then they are set up by a sales person with hills products when they Graduate. They have the #1 market share in Vet Clinics what does that tell you, it tells me that the Fox is guarding the hen house!!
